Electrical Wiring in the Home - Fridge cutting out

Expert: Kevin L. Ogle - 11/7/2009

Question
Hi there  we have a fridge/freezer that works for about 5 hours and then it trips the circuit breaker.  After a couple of hours we put it on again, and it repeats the same process.  Can you help?

Answer
I am not a fridge expert, please see my qualifications. Most likely, you have a part on the fridge (like a motor) that is drawing too much current. The only other thing I cab think of is that your circuit breaker could be going bad, but that is unlikely.
