Question
Hi I have changed most of my appliances plus from australia to uk they only worked for a coupke of seconds? I would appricated some help as the voltahe is the same the amps are not? please rely many thanks sharon

Answer
Sorry. I don't know ANYTHING about UK and Australia electricity, not even voltage levels.
What I find suggests that you ought to be ok.
UK type G plugs [230 volt, 13-amp rated] have a fuse, which you may have blown, so your equipt may still be all right. Australian type I plugs are 240 volt [close enough] 15, 20 25 and 32 amp rated. Maybe the load is too high for the UK circuits.
At least both are 50 hertz so you don't have THAT problem....
