Question
What size wire do I use to wire a 220 volt air compressor, the distance from the circuit panel is no more tan 12 feet, Any advice would be greatly appreaciated. I plan to run the wire through flexible greenfield cable.

Answer
Hi George,

To determine this I will need more information.

Look on the equipment and find the "Name plate".  On this you will see the watts or amps.

Please send me this information in a follow-up question and I will be glad to help you.

Thanks and have a nice day,

Benny
