QUESTION: Can I install a switch in front of a GFIC so I can turn the device on and off with out unplugging it.I heard that installing a switch may cause the GFIC to trip when it is turned on and off. Is this true or am I save installing a swith to controll the GFIC.

ANSWER: There are different GFCI outlets on the market, some do and some don't.

QUESTION: Can you possibly suggest a GFIC that would be compatible with a switch.

Answer
Some GFCI outlets trip when power is taken away, so that is the one you would avoid if you want to install a switch to control it.
I cannot think of the name of them at the moment but you should be able to ask your local home center or wherever you plan to purchase it.
