Experience State of Colorado Master Electrician. Past County Electricial Inspector (15 years)
I live in a 25 year old high rise apartment building, and inside the circuit box on the wall, one of the switches is loose. It looks just like a light switch, but it's horizontal. While it is switched on, it often does not work.
Could you please tell me if this is easy to fix, or should I get an electrician?
thanks,
coup
Answer Hi Coup.
Before doing any work, check with your landload. There are probably rules against tenants doing electrical/plumbing work.
If you can, then what you are talking about is a breaker. Replacing one does require some electrical knowledge, as well as safety equipment.
I suggest you hire an electrician to do it, but check with the landlord first.
