Electrical Wiring in the Home - circuit braker

Expert: Don Beck - 6/14/2005

Question
my circuit braker keeps triping. what can I do?

Answer
Hi Maria,

When a breaker trips it goes to a neutral position, not to an off position. To reset a breaker, you must turn the breaker to the off position by hand, and then back to the on position. Try this, if that doesn't solve the problem get back to me and we'll dig deeper.
