Electrical Wiring in the Home - circuits

Expert: J Cook - 11/28/2004

Question
How many receptacles do you usually wire on a circuit for bedrooms.

Answer
Hello Jack, the answer is always a surprise, according to the code, there is no limit to the number of receptacles on a single circuit. The code only states that the connected loads can not exceed the rating of the circuit. I have totally rewired my home, and I installed a receptacle on every third wall stud. This allows a lamp, TV, or any device to be convenient to a receptacle no matter how my wife arranges the furniture. Thanks for asking, J
