Question
I have a meter. I need to check a 220 outlet. I would like to know where to place the leads, correctly.a6

Answer
Hi David,

Make sure the meter is set to 220V, or more. Insert 1 lead into 1 side of the outlet, the other lead into the other side of the outlet. This should give you a reading of 220V.

You can also check for 110V by inserting 1 lead in the left side of the outlet, the other lead into the grounding hole. This should read 110V. Then do the same with the other right side of the outlet.
