Electrical Wiring in the Home/convert hard wire to plug in

Question
Can you convert a hard wired fixture into a plug in type?  If so, how?

Thanks

Answer
Hi.

Yes you can.

On how to do it, it depends on the fixture.  If it is a chandalier, you can buy a swag kit at any home center.  If it is a fluorescent light, you will need to buy a 3 wire cord that is grounded.  If it is a wall scone, you need just a cord and plug set that you can buy at any home center.

If you need more specific information, write a follow up questions with the fixture type.
