Hi, I just wanted to add that ive recently found Ceiling fan boxes that are made to slip right over the joist in your ceiling. Ive been told that these are the most stable and will not loosen up over time.

I have electric ceiling heat by "ELECTROMODE" who is out of business. I've this heat since I built the House in 1963 and very pleased with it.I did notice a dark spot in one room. I thought it maybe a water spot but a trip to the antic didn't show any leak. I'm wondering if there could be a problem with one of the heating wires.
Thanks Tom
