Question
Hi,
I have heard that you should not transport a plasma screen horizontally for a long period of time. Why is this?
Should they be stored vertically as well?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Simon!

It sounds like you are wanting to move your plasma.  Good, take it with you.

I think you may be hearing a rumor.  As you know, you can hang or use a plasma at almost any angle.  I cant see how having it horizontal for a long period would effect it.

I would imagine that manufacturers don't recommend having the tv transported horizontally because they didn't design packaging that way... I have seen several plasma boxes, and opened packaging for many.... most of them are origianally packed well enough to ship at any angle.

Yeah... Plasma's are built to operate at any angle... And I might hang it on my ceiling for a few years.... I cant see how this would be a problem for you.

I am curious though... are you moving the tv somewhere?
