Question
B.1   A motor manufacturing company ownsa test setup, equipped with separately excited DCgenerator for Ward-leonard voltage control system. The terminal voltage of generator with constant excitation of 250V. Suddenly the load on generator drops from 250kW to 150kW. The armature resistance is 0.012Ω and contact brush drop is 2V. Neglect armature reaction.

Calculate the following:-

1.1   Generated voltage when loaded at 250 kW
1.2   Percentage variation in speed

Since this appears to be a student assignment and you did not reference the text book you are using I will give you only basic theory from which you can work it out on your own.  There are other sites you can easily find with google.
