Question
Dear ZZ

Can we utilise Cat6 cable for backbone network similar to Fiber optic cable?

Thanks
Prashant

Answer
Yes, I think the answer to your question is Yes.

Cables are used to communicate data from one box to another.  Cat6 is good for most high speed transfers such as containing audio, video and data whereas older Catx do not always have sufficient bandwidth.

Fiber optic cable is very good for high datarates and depending on the usage and system interconnects Cat6 can compete with fiber cable.

Let me know if you need more research results...
