Do you feel Integrating a thermocouple with a smartphone device hardware can help us measure Temperature?

Thermocouples are not the only sensors for detecting or measuring temperature. See below:

Outlined in the link above are RTD, resistance temperature devices, and Thermistors. There are others.

Many specialty apps that measure temperature and other parameters are available in today's market for developing smartphone apps.  They are used in engineering, medicine, health, finance, aquatics and many other technical areas.

Room temperature, body temperature, engine temperature, surface temperatures of many kinds are such applications.

In smartphones the temperature of the battery is important and some smartphones have protection systems built in to prevent the battery from causing harm to the user, for example.
