Question
My son is 10 yrs old and is in a public school system in Alabama.  He has shown a tremendous gift and passion for the arts.  I have tried to enroll him in local city programs for art and dance, which he has enjoyed, but these prgrams are very basic. I am trying to find a way to promote his talents and feel that he would greatly benefit from a school that would have an emphasis on cultavating artistically gifted children.  Do you know how I could research this and find more information on available schools in the southeast?

Answer
Hi!  I am really not familiar with the area.  I would Google fine arts schools for children in Alabama.  There may very well not be any.  Possibly, talk to the people in the local city programs.  They might be able to put you in the right direction.  Also, at times, colleges in your area especially ones that have a good fine arts program might have programs for youth.
Best of luck to you as well as your son!
