Question I have a real issue on my hands. I have been emailing a person who states he is in Nigeria which has a 5 hour time
difference. However, we have been replying to each other's reply and now I notice that the times on the emails that HE received from me do not reflect the time difference. For instance, I send him an email at 3pm which is 8pm for him. When I read over the email I had sent him, the time on the email to him, what time it was recieved, states 3pm. And not one out of about 30 emails is there any indication of the 5 hour time change. Does this mean that he is not where he says he is?
I am confused and wondering if I have just been scammed
Answer Hi Kathie,
Most email programs allow to use your time zone or the sender's time zone. That is probably where the difference comes into play. Hope you didn't give any personal information or more, especially if you do not know the person - no matter where they say they live.
