Subject: opening a type of file

Question
I was sent a file by e-mail from a trusted source which I don't know how to open. The file name has NPP at the end, and the file type reads: application/octet-stream.

How can I open this file?

Answer
Hi Jim,

Windows cannot open NPP files?

If Windows is unable to open NPP files you may not have the appropriate program installed or may have a registry related error. We strongly recommend that you run a free registry scan.
Appropriate program:

NPP is a file extension associated with Art Explosion Publisher Pro Document . Incorrect associations are the cause of many file extension errors. Scan your system to prevent and identify association errors.

Hope this helps!
