Subject: Error while sending mail

Question
QUESTION: I am using Mozilla Thunderbird for at least a year and today when I tried to send email I got following email message: An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded :Mailbox unavailable...Please check the message and try again.
What should I check on the message? What can I do to be able to send a message again? Thank you. Olivia

ANSWER: Sounds like the address you are sending to has been closed or theiur server is having problems.

As long as the address is correct, there is nothing more you can do.

\Hope this helps

QUESTION: Something must be wrong with my POP Mail Server. Another problem I just discovered. I was always able to get and send mail Recently I get message when "I Check for new messages" :"There is no new message on the server. But when I go online I have messages in my Inbox.
Respond to your answer above: I am sending an email to more than  to one address , maybe five different addresses. They can't be all closed.
I am using Flock Internet server. Do you know if they are having problem. I am experiencing this problem in the last 2 weeks.
Thank you. Olivia

Answer
Yahoo isn't POP3 unless you pay for their Mail Plus service. Even if one address is bad, and the others go through, you will still get that message.

If you aren't getting Yahoo mail in Thunderbird, then its likely you don't have POP3 service.

Hope this helps
