Question
Hi Sir,
I am a B.tech who joined an MNC on 18th June 2007. While joining we all were made to sign an agreement which states "Should you voluntarily leave the company for any reason within 24 months from when your training is completed , you must reimburse the Company a sum of rupees 1,00,000 as liquidated damage"... I was given technical training till 13th of August 2007. By this my agreement should expire on 13th aug 2009. But my HR is saying that your training period counted is of 3 months hence your bond will expire on 15 September 2009. Sir I wanted to leave the organisation on 25th of July 2009. Please help what should I do so I should not be viable to pay Bond Amount.

Answer
Dear Nitin,

Hope you're doing fine.
Please answer the following:-
Did they issue you an appointment letter?
What is designation and compensation? Is there any clause like if the company wishes to terminate your employment? or any other clause specified by which you can get rid of this agreement.

Best regards,
