I am also well versed in the Title V Civil Rights Act and the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).

Question
Hello,
I have talked to some of my coworkers who do not have direct deposit like I do. Is there any laws on when an employer has to have a check mailed out to reach the employee by any certian day? We are paid weekly and my check is direct deposited every friday, my coworker who does not have direct deposit gets his on the following tuesday or wednesday in the mail. No big deal, just curious.

Answer
If the employee opts for a mailed check than the check must be mailed out on payday. So if Friday is payday the direct deposit will be in the bank, and the check must be in the mail that same day. The one receiving the check will receive it a bit later due to the mail service.
