Employment Law/working full time hours with no pto hours


I have been working at this Nursing home almost a year now and I have no pto hours. I asked the woman in payroll about this situation and she stated to me that the administrater said to leave my status as prn when I was hired my application said fulltime. I Work full-time not prn only prn staff does not have pto hours.if I'm working full-time schedule days shouldn't i have pto hours??

PTO is not a requirement by law.  If others working full time have PTO than you should also have PTO hours. This is something you need to take up with the management of your company.

You have the right to call and talk to the Department of Labor about it, and  I don't know your state well but they may or may not help you get the PTO from your company. In our state they do not regulate PTO as it is not required to be given.
