Question Hi
I have stage 4 endo and have been suffering from terrible heart pain similar to that of the pain I feel in my abdomen, kidneys, hips etc.
My endo has spread throughout my abdomen and other areas too, is it possible that it has now spread to my heart?
I am also suffering from terrible sharp head aches and dizziness, could this be caused from the extreme pain I am in, and because the pain I feel is spread through such a wide area and in most of my organs?
Kind Regards
Hayley
Answer Dear Hayley:
So sorry to hear of your stage 4 Endo and your heart pain-as well as your other pains. I had stage 5 Endo before my hysterectomy (en total)
where they took my cervix and ovaries and all that. I still have the heart pain I used to have. Usually it is caused from my needing to use the bathroom (number 2) or having gas/and acid reflux. It feels "full" and then I get stabbing pains in my chest/left side. I too had Endo on almost all my organs and they were pushed up under my diaphragm with the adhesions. That could be it also. I have had migraines throughout these many years and it's due to stress, hormone fluctuations etc. I wouldn't worry about your heart too much as, if it is there-I don't imagine they would do surgery but, I would mention it to my doctor if I were you. I had my ureters that go to my kidneys "horizontal" from adhesions (scar tissue) which they fixed but it is probably back by now. I would suggest you contact the Endometriosis Association and the ERC.(Endometriosis Research Center and ask them this question. I hope this has been helpful. Are you on any hormones or had surgery (lazer) to remove the Endo.? If you do have surgery (Laparoscopic lazer thru your belly button) they can remove any they see and if it's done with a lazer there is minimal bleeding of your organs. I had 5 laparoscopies and 3 Laparotomies-where they open you up like a bikini line and do lazer ablation and stuff. Any surgery is a risk so please ask alot of questions and don't be scared as, it's YOUR BODY. My surgeries helped but, in the long run I still had to get a hysterectomy so, it's a short FIX to a complex problem. As I said, so sorry you hurt and I hope I answered alot of your questions. And maybe gave you more questions to ask the doc. I had a partial colectomy two years ago and the gas pain was EXCRUCIATING!! It hurt in my chest area also. (partial colectomy-they removed over 1/2 of my colon due to ischemia-dead bowel...) They also at that time removed MANY adhesions. You may have adhesions pulling on your colon-it likes to hide out there for some reason. Take care and please write me back if I can help anymore.
