Endometriosis/endometriosis reoccurance??

My sister, myself, my mom, and now my 10 year old niece all suffer from Endometriosis. We all travel to Atlanta from New York for our surgeries and care with Dr. Nezhat. He helped my sister who struggled with getting pregnant for 5 years and she got pregnant right after surgery with Dr. Nezhat. I have had 2 surgeries and my appendix removed and my presacral nerve also removed. We have received the best care and best treatment. My 10 year old niece had a dermoid growing inside her ovary causing her to bleed for months. He went in and removed it and kept her fertility in tact as well as found endo at her age and removed it. Good luck this disease is a real pain in the butt but getting the best doctor is key!

I was unaware of just how few docs perform LAPEX.

I was diagnosed at the Women's Hospital in Houston in 2006.  The doctor freed up my left ovary, but admitted she couldn't touch the stage one stuff with her tools.  I felt no better.

Dr. Sinervo and Dr. Albee performed my second surgery (LAPEX) in October of 2008.  It has been five months and I am fantastic.  It turns out that even though my endo problems were mostly stage one, it was everywhere.  It had completely adhered to my fallopian tubes.  The doctors had to completely rebuild my anatomy!  And these are the words of my OBGYN here in Houston. My OB here in Houston was astounded.  Miracle worker may not have been his exact words, but I got the idea.

I am completely off the emotional roller coaster, and I feel really well most of the time.  Dr. Sinervo prepared me for the possiblility (based on my symptoms) that I might have adenomyosis (an invasive variety of endo), for which they can do nothing but prescribe Mirena or perform a hysterectomy.  I do have adenomyosis, but it has in fact been made tolerable because all the rest of the endo is, I believe, gone!

I found the CEC through testimonials online, but I was desperate, and my doctors (in the Medical capital of the World) couldn't help me.

Going to the CEC is the single most important decision I've made in my life. Every aspect of care was better than my first surgery (from the thorough bowel cleanse... to the velcro waist band to control air pockets... to Northside hospital where I got my own room!!).  I really could go on and on.

Good luck to everyone out there!

I had surgery with Dr. Sinervo after multiple failed attempts with other surgeons to treat my endometriosis. Traveling across country and giving them $5000 was a HUGE mistake. Two months after surgery with the CEC in Atlanta and I was already having repeat surgery back at home for the same issues I went to Georgia for. I continue to suffer with endometriosis and encourage women to be careful in choosing a physician and method of treatment. There is NO cure for endometriosis, and there are lots of people who will take advantage of your hope and desperation to find one. I have tried for months to get a resolution from Dr Sinervo since this extreme excision surgery didn't help me in the least, but all I got was the run around, more lies, and a bill attempting to squeeze any remaining money from me! Now my calls and emails go unanswered, and I feel scammed, thoroughly duped.

I can answer questions on surgery, medications and some limited natural treatments. I am not a medical expert, but can tell you what I`ve been through personally concerning my endo.

I have had endo, in my opinion, for over 30 years. Although I haven't tried every treatment, I have tried the "popular" ones and can tell you what worked and what wasn't successful for me.
