I am trying to find out what impact the recent development of O&G activity in Montana (particularly Hill and Blaine counties) has had on the per-acre price of mineral rights. Do you know where I could get any leads on that information?

The following link will take you to the lease price sale results from the State's recent lease sales. Should give you an idea what the level of activity is in the counties mentioned. More leasing at higher prices indicates more activity. Neither county has much current activity so I doubt mineral rights in either county would be worth more than a couple hundred dollars per acre currently if you sold them.

Oil and gas leasing, lease negotiations, how to best deal with the oil and gas companies or their representatives, buying/selling mineral rights, forced-pooling, correlative rights, deeds and conveyances, and "post-production" costs. I am most experienced with Oklahoma properties and laws, but am able to answer questions concerning other oil and gas producing states in many cases.

I have acquired a good deal of knowledge on the subjects of oil and gas law, mineral appraisal, and land and title work over the past ten years, and have also worked as a professional landman.
