Question NZ travel agents offer UK coach holidays with 3 or 4 major operators. ie.Cosmos, Trafalger etc. When in UK I have discovered and used some excellent smaller operators. ie Hardings of Birkenhead. Can you tell me if these smaller companies list on a web site and if so where? By waiting until one gets to the UK tours are very often full.Your help would be appreciated.
Answer Hi,
Hardings of Birkenhead are not proving easy to find but I shall pursue them if you wish - just let me know. However, there is a company called Harding in Worcestershire on www.hardingscoaches.co.uk
Meanwhile I have located the following on UKplus:
1) Alfa Travel on www.alfatravel.co.uk who have offices in Leyland and Chorley, Lancashire
2) Silver Fern Coaches of Carnforth, Lancashire on www.silverferncoaches.co.uk
3) Timeline of Bolton, Lancashire on www.timelinetravel.co.uk
4) Land of the Lakes' website is down at the moment. They cater for solo travellers and groups up to 12, not just in the Lake District but generally in England and Europe too. It might be worth emailing Rachel@land-of-the-lakestours.co.uk for a brochure.
5) The biggies who operate generally in England, and include Wallace Arnold and Shearings who have proven and well-known track records, are on the website coachholidays.com
