What is the correct side for a man too wear a poppy and the correct side for a woman?

Thank you for asking!
To the best of my knowledge there is no protocol whatsoever over this question. The BBC news readers (male and female)tend to wear them on their left, but I suspect that might simply reflect the fact that most people are right handed and find them easier to pin on their left!
