I can't understand the second part. can you please help here?

These artworks expose our need to validate our humanity, even as they thwart our attempts at full disclosure.

Answer
"Full disclosure" is when you tell someone all the secrets of a situation.  A little difficult here to determine what the full disclosure refers to.   It means the artworks thwart (successfully prevent) our attempt to tell all of our secrets (about ourselves, our lives?  Not sure what about...)
