Question
QUESTION: Dear Amy,
I am an non-native English teacher with six years of experience in teaching different levels holding a bachelor degree in English literature. However, I don't have an IELTS degree myself, and considering not being a native speaker, I was wondering whether it's possible to get an IELTS band score 9.If yes, how? and what sources would you recommend?
My dream is to become an IELTS examiner. Since the first requirement of that is to get an IELTS band 9, I am trying to go for that. I also appreciate if you can share any information regarding becoming an IELTS examiner.
Beforehand, I am very grateful for any of your responses.
Regards,
Mehran Davari

ANSWER: Hello Mehran,

thank you for your question.

While scoring a 9 on the IELTS  is probably not the easiest task, I'd say it's doable with proper preparation.

I can suggest some IELTS prep materials available online:

There are several IELTS prep books on the market , books you should be able to purchase, but I wouldn't know which one to recommend as this is supposed to be a personal decision - based on budget, learning style and so on.

Also, (but I assume you're already familiar with) this is a place where you can get more info on becoming an IELTS examiner:

Please let me know if you require more info, or more specific info and I'll try my best to help.

Best regards,
