English as a Second Language/How do I say?

Question
Hi again Amy

Many thanks for your help in the past.

My kid is learning solo verse speaking from a native speaker. I will meet this English teacher this Saturday. I would like to ask the teacher some of the following questions.

1. How's is my kid doing in the speaking? (I mean I want to know if my child is good or bad in the speaking)
2. In what areas does my Child need improvement?

Are the above questions natural? Would appreciate if if you could give some more examples.

Thanks.

Best Regards,
CH

Answer
Hi CH,

I'd say:

How are my kid's speaking skills?
or
How is my kid's English speaking?
or
How well is my kid's spoken English?

and

What are the areas my child needs to improve in?
or
What areas should my child improve in?

I hope this works for you CH.

Let me know if you have more questions, and I'll be more than happy to help you.

Best,

Amy
