(1.)   In the sentence, does it mean the same if I say “ Showers are very likely overnight and  will certainly continue into Friday”?

(1.)In the sentence, may I replace “the latest” with “up-to-the-minute”? Do they mean the same?

(2.) What is another way to say “promoting from within”?  “Promoting someone within the organization”?

(1.)    What can be taken in place of “filled” in the sentence? “Taken”?

This was the best room we could get at such short notice.

(2.) In the sentence, does it mean the same if I replace “at” with “on”?

(1.) What is another way to say “ which has been home to Brinks for over fifty years”?
