Expert: Ed Saugstad Date: 7/4/2008 Subject: little brown worms
Question Ed... I have these tiny ( millimeters long--a little bigger than a pin head) brown worm like creatures invading my bathroom and laundry room. They seem to be able to lift their bodies upwards but otherwise rarely move. I tried to take a picture but its nothing more than a speck. Tonight I noticed they were all along the window sills, screens outside. They seem to be attracted to the humid spaces in my house. Any guesses and more importantly how can I get rid of them. Thanks
Answer Dear Michelle - What you describe does not match any common household pest with which I am familiar, particularly the bit about them scarcely moving. Rather than have me make wild guesses, if you tell me your state of residence, I may be able to refer you to a more local source for assistance in resolving this matter.
Waiting to hear back,
Saugy
