Entomology (Study of Bugs) - bug

Expert: Heather - 8/20/2008

Question
I have pictures of a bug no one has ever seen. I would like to send them to get an answer

Answer
It looks just like a hummingbird moth, either a Clearwing Hummingbird Moth, or a Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moth. They are very unusual, having bee colors but hovering over flowers with a long proboscis. That is quite a nice picture you have taken of such a quick little insect!
