Entomology (Study of Bugs) - Unidentified larvae

Question
QUESTION: Hi. Today we discovered the dog's plastic food container to be insurmountably infested by some very very tiny creatures that i have never seen before. They were white/peach in color, and slightly smaller than these dots.............
we had to get quite close to see that they were all moving, so we then knew that they weren't some sort of powdered preservative that the dog food had on it (these things are so small, they can be confused for dust particles or any powder). Can u please tell me if they are some sort of insect larvae or larvae of another Class or not larvae at all? sorry, i did not take pictures.

ANSWER: Impossible to identify without a photo or sketch.  Did you count legs?  It helps narrow down the field.  See if you can find one and get a magnifying glass.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: No. My dad washed the container already. I have nothing to work w/.
No, i could not see any legs, these things were way too small, like just slightly smaller than  these dots here ............... And they were clearly in the millions, all over (the container is quite big, like the size of a beverage cooler). Can u please give me some names of the creatures that most likely fit this description? i can then do a google image search of each name and perhaps identify them w/ what i saw in  the container. I would most definitely appreciate that Ms. Kayton.
thank you

Answer
Sorry - I've never seen anything that tiny and beige in dog food.  The only thing I can think of that is common, that fits that description are book lice, but they infest dry wallpaper, dry books, and dry fungus, not wet dog food.  If it was dry dog food, perhaps they were book lice.

here are some links for book lice
