I have seen this insect in my backyard (many) .Is that a problem. What is it?

Answer
Dear Mamdouh,

It is a Soldier beetle - Chauliognathus lugubris.
Apparently they commonly swarm in Australia under ideal conditions. It is said that they live a very short life as adults, and die off soon after mating.
