Unknown bug
Unknown bug
Today while I was driving I felt something biting my calf .
After have stopped the car I found the guilty but I don't know what it is.
I live in Adelaide, South Australia and now is summer.

Thanks for your help

Dear Matteo - This appears to be one of the so-called 'white-tailed' spiders in the genus Lampona. They can have a painful bite, but do not appear to be dangerous in any way. See http://tinyurl.com/a2ftfpb and http://tinyurl.com/2k8ho2 for more detailed information.

Hope this helps,

Will accept most questions in general entomology, including those related to medical entomology, taxonomy, ecology, arthropod surveillance, and pest management. If you are requesting a 'mystery bug' identification, PLEASE either attach an image to your question, or post an image on a web page (such as Flickr) so that I can look at it, as verbal descriptions frequently are insufficient for a definitive identification.
