Question
Are there any specific aromas a natural plant/flower give off that will repel Mosquitos? I have heard that lavender works ???

Answer
pyrethrum is an excellent repellent.  It is the extract of chrysanthemum flowers.  Here is a link to the Wikipedia article.

Citronella oil also works and it is also a flower extract.  See the Wikipedia article

Many scientific trials show that pyrethrum and citronella work.  Some trials show results from lavender, while other trials show they don't work.  I have tried lavender oil and it doesn't work for me.
