new bug july 14 2013
new bug july 14 2013  
What is this bug? About 1 millimeter in length. Found in bathroom and in bed, july 14th 2013,at noon. It crawls. We have been getting insect bites. San Francisco California and we have a yard with plants and some wildlife (BIRDS especially blue jays,OCCASIONAL RACOON) next to bedroom/bathroom. bird mite? Thank you very much for your volunteer spirit and expertise!

Well, that looks like a tick nymph.  Certainly a mite of some kind.  Wish I had more information for you, though I did put up this blog post that includes some good links, too:
