Hi.  I found this bug crawling on my wood floor yesterday.  It looks black, but I can't make it out..  Maybe a beetle of some kind.  Any help would be great- kinda freaking out!

Thanks,
Daniela

Answer
Daniela,

The beetle is too dark to id, it may be a harmless stored product beetle but I can't see it clearly. Can you get another picture and try to adjust the camera's exposure so the beetle is lighter? See http://www.livingwithbugs.com/ec.html (bottom of page) for suggestions for photographing insects.
