Entomology (Study of Bugs)/what is this?

Hi there I came across a strange looking insect would u know what this

Hi Caroline,

It is a Shield bug.

I am not that familiar with the different Shield bugs in the U.K., but I would guess it is either
Picromerus bidens (http://www.britishbugs.org.uk/heteroptera/Pentatomidae/picromerus_bidens.html) or
Pentatoma rufipes (http://www.britishbugs.org.uk/heteroptera/Pentatomidae/pentotoma_rufipes.html)

Are the bugs "shoulders" pointy or blunt?

Thanks for the photo!
