Question
?
?
I need help identifying a bug I think it is a red spider mite.

Answer
Mike,

This is not a spider mite. It looks like one of the predator mites, Phytosiidae, but I can't see it clearly enough to be certain. See http://www.livingwithbugs.com/spider_mites.html for some basic info about spider mites. Spider mites will generally have a greenish ting at least and shorter legs relative to the body size, compared to this specimen.
