Question
Termite?
Termite?

Termite?
Termite?
I found these bugs in my house on the second floor all along an exterior wall in the carpet crevices.  Based on my amateur internet research, I have identified them as termites...ugh! I'm waiting to get an expert out to check but in the mean time, can you let me know your thoughts?  I'm a bit anxious, as you can imagine. Thank you.

Answer
Mary,

The antennae are termite-like but I can't see enough detail to be certain. Normally termites don't expose themselves outside the nest except during reproductive flights. Do these insects have wings? Be sure to collect a few so they can be examined closely. Post a follow up if you have additional info.
