These little things pop up every so often. They don't fly. They rarely move and I've seen them a few times in my kids room and kitchen. Any idea what they are?

Answer
Rheannon,

This is a beetle, possibly the drugstore beetle or cigarette beetle. See http://www.livingwithbugs.com/cigarette_drugstore_beetle.html for pictures. Both infest stored foods. A few is usually not a problem (see page cited above).
