Entomology (Study of Bugs)/Larder Beetle

Question
I read a previous post about this larder beetle. You say that they are found around dead animals and dry pet food. Well, I am asking if this is the case why would I be finding this beetle around water sources such as bathroom and kitchen sink areas? Also, are there any inset sprays that will get rid of these beetles?

Answer
. Hi Bri
It is true that Larder beetles feed on decaying organic material like dead animals but they also can be kitchen pests getting into dried foods. All insects require water so they will be found near a water source. To get rid of then you must find the source and throw out infected foods. A pyrethrum based spray can be used against them
