Question
Bug
Bug
Hi Jack!

I've found this bug in my shoe cupboard. Previously, I found a few young bugs in my bedroom and I'm not sure what it is.

Will you be able to help me identify this bug? And possibly explain what can be done to keep them away? Thanks!

Answer
Christine,

This is a cockroach, see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/cockroaches.html for more pictures. If you live in an apartment building it will be up to the apartment management to control them. You can try baits yourself (see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/cockroach_baits.html for info) but it is better to treat the whole building.
