Can you identify this?

Answer
Marquita,

I believe this is a very small (young) firebrat (see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/silverfish_firebrats.html for pictures). These insects are mostly harmless except they can sometimes damage stored foods. They prefer dry and hot conditions and can be common in older homes.
