Question
Green bug
Green bug
Hello, This is my first time asking on here. My grandmother lives in Clovis Nm and is currently being pestered by these strange bugs. They bite her, and I cannot identify these bugs myself. If you can tell me what species they are. I can find a solution to them. Thank you for your time.

Answer
Orlando:

These are clearly beetles of some kind (at least the one on the right in the image), and it looks like a leaf beetle (family Chrysomelidae).

Beetles do not bite, so something else is going on there.

Leaf beetles may be infesting houseplants, or simply flying in from outdoors, and/or are being attracted to lights at night.

I would classify these insects as a "nuisance" rather than a pest.
