Entomology (Study of Bugs)/What insect is this



Have lots of these little guys all over my swamp milk weed. What I found most odd was parts of him / her are fuzzy like a bee. We live in Omaha NE USA. Thank you.

Female "Great Golden Digger" wasp, Sphex ichneumoneus .  I wrote a blog post about this species awhile back:


I remember seeing them at the Henry Doorly Zoo in their butterfly garden when I was there at about this time last year.
