Entomology (Study of Bugs)/venom in insects

What happens to venom of caterpillar as it becomes butterfly? How does previous venomous state of caterpillar affect butterfly? Is the venom in catterpillars related to a primative "fear" hormone in simple insects? Why do only some insects need to develop venom?

Wow, these are all very good, important questions.  Unfortunately, I am not a student of insect physiology and I cannot answer them.

I would seek a professor of insect physiology at a university and ask these questions of them.

Mostly, I furnish identifications of insects and arachnids from North America.
