Entomology (Study of Bugs)/Stripped Leaf Beetle

Evening Eric,

Homosassa, FL

I ran across this 1/4"+ stripped leaf beetle. I used several references, including your field guide.  I have narrowed it down to Disonycha and possible sub alternata or alticini.  The pink highlights added confusion and I could find no direct match.

Please e-mail your queries from now on if you would be so kind.  Thank you. You are light years ahead of my usual...clientele(?), and I want to leave the rest of them room to ask questions.  I have a limit of three queries per day, so....You get the picture.  I am happy to help you, and you have earned the right to bypass AllExperts.

That said, I am not an expert on leaf beetles, so we may have to be happy with a genus-level ID on this one.
