Entomology (Study of Bugs)/Unknown Caterpillar

Caterpillar 01
Caterpillar 01
Evening Eric,

Ran across this caterpillar roaming aroung on my bedroom floor.

Took it outside to photograph it and placed it on my pati table.  As it waked along it would jump up real fast and curl up for a moment and then continue along.  Repeating this motion several times.  Can you ID it, I think it is a moth.  Can you provide the scientic name also if possible.

I'm sorry, but caterpillars are next to impossible to identify, especially if they are found away from their host plant.

I do suspect it is something in the Crambidae or Pyralidae families, though, given its appearance in the image.

Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
